For the courses "Computer Algebra I/II" the students can choose between the computer algebra systems Maple or MuPAD to solve their exercises.
Inside the courses "Mathematik am Computer" and "Mathematik für Informatiker", computer algebra systems (Maple, Mathematica and MuPAD) are used for teaching and for solving exercises of certain parts of the lectures.
Moreover, some higher courses like "Konstruktive Galois-Theorie" or "Kommutative Algebra" make use of computer algebra systems.
For the next semester it is planned to prepare interactive materials, similar to the concept of the Interactive Linear Algebra Book, for a first year mathematics course for students of economy.
Inside courses for students who want to become teacher of
mathematics, some parts of geometry, combinatorics and numerics are
teached by the use of MuPAD and Mathematica. As a project,
a library package geometrie
will be developped to teach and learn 2-dimensional geometry.
