The parameter file

The program is driven by a parameter file with parameter settings indicating what you want the program to do. The parameter file can be edited by writing in an ASCII file by hand or by using the GUI. A commented default file can be created automatically in the present working directory using the cora_inp program. If no file is supplied cora_inp will be launched automatically, so for the first run one does not need to bother about it. Note, that cora_inp needs a spectrum to be provided in order to provide an input file adapted to basic properties of the spectrum, so that one does have to bother about a spectrum in the right format before first launch. More details on the parameter file can be found in Sect. 6.
Cora can be started without indicating an input file, if it is named fit.inp (in the current working directory).
