ETL Unicode Font Collection
===========================

1997-04-26: First public release.

This distribution contains a subset of ISO 10646 (Unicode)
character set implemented as fixed-width bitmapped fonts,
supplied in Binary Distribution Format (BDF).  The fonts are
based on Naoto Takahashi's <Naoto.Takahashi@imag.fr> ETL font
collection, with Armenian and Georgian glyphs added by Mark
Leisher <mleisher@crl.nmsu.edu>.

The current subset of ISO 10646 is a superset of the proposed
Minimum European Subset (MES; ENV 1973:1995,
<http://www.indigo.ie/egt/standards/mes.html>) with the extension
to Hebrew, Armenian and Georgian glyphs.

It is assumed that a user knows how to install and use the fonts.

1999-02-05: A bug-fix release.
