This is Python 1.3, built for SunOS 4.1.4. It should also work
on earlier relases of SunOS 4.1, but may produce warnings about libc
versions, which can be ignored.

This version of Python contains the following builtin modules

array audioop binascii crypt dbm fcntl gdbm grp imageop imp marshal math md5
posix pwd regex rgbimg rotor select signal socket strop struct sunaudiodev
sys time timing tkinter

It also includes readline support for interactive use.

The tar file contains 

bin/python
lib/python/ [lots of stuff]
include/Py/ [include files]

The optimal place to install this is under /usr/local.

It was built with GCC 2.7.2, on a sun4m running SunOS 4.1.4.
