Subsystem Selector Menu

The popup menu contains the following items:

Chart

Edit. The Edit facility enables you to modify the chart of the selected Subsystem. It opens an editor containing the chart.

View enables you to view the chart of the selected Subsystem. This command is very useful if you are running ProMod-PLUS in multi-user mode. If another user is already editing a Subsystem, both the textual and graphical representations of that Module will be locked but you can still open it in view mode.

Create. This command creates the chart from the latest version of the chart together with the latest version of the textual representation and opens an editor containing the chart. This means that the existing chart is updated to include components which are defined in text but have not yet been generated as graphics. The components which already existed in graphics are not changed.

Delete enables you to delete the chart of the selected Subsystem. The textual representation is not deleted.

Text

Edit. This command opens an editor window which contains the text ready for editing.

All. This option enables you to modify all the text of the selected Subsystem.

Purpose. This options enables you to modify the Purpose text of the selected Subsystem.

Export Interface. This option enables you to modify the Export Interface text of the selected Subsystem.

Import Interface. This option enables you to modify the Import Interface text of the selected Subsystem.

Internal. This option enables you to modify the Internal text of the selected Subsystem.

View

All. This command enables you to view all the text for selected Subsystem(s).

Purpose. This command enables you to view the Purpose text for selected Subsystem(s).

Export Interface. This command enables you to view the Export Interface text for selected Subsystem(s).

Import Interface. This command enables you to view the Import Interface text for selected Subsystem(s).

Internal .This command enables you to view the Internal text for selected Subsystem(s).

Show Parent Subsystem enables you to work on the parent Subsystem(s) of the selected Subsystem, if any exist.The selector displays the name(s) of the parent(s). You can then work on the Subsystem(s) in the same way as normal. For example, you can edit the text, chart or Annotations.

Show Traceability Links to

Requirement opens the Autotracer for the chosen component. The Autotracer automatically displays the Traceability Links from the selected object to Requirements objects. You can alter the selections in the Autotracer if you want to display the Traceability Links for different objects. If the Autotracer was already open when you used this command then the entries in the Autotracer are updated.

Task Design opens the Autotracer for the chosen component. The Autotracer automatically displays the Traceability Links from the selected object to Task Design objects. You can alter the selections in the Autotracer if you want to display the Traceability Links for different objects. If the Autotracer was already open when you used this command then the entries in the Autotracer are updated.

GUI Design opens the Autotracer for the chosen component. The Autotracer automatically displays the Traceability Links from the selected object to GUI Design objects. You can alter the selections in the Autotracer if you want to display the Traceability Links for different objects. If the Autotracer was already open when you used this command then the entries in the Autotracer are updated.

Rename enables you to rename the selected Subsystem.

Delete

Including Subtree. If you delete a Subsystem including subtree then the Modules (including their Functions) belonging to the Subsystem are deleted along with the Subsystem.

Excluding Subtree. If you delete a Subsystem excluding subtree then the Modules belonging to the Subsystem are converted to "free" Modules because they no longer have a parent Subsystem.

Analyze

Including Subtree enables you to analyze the selected Subsystem and its subtree. When you select this command, the analyzer starts. When the analysis is complete an output window is displayed that contains a list of the errors found.

Excluding Subtree enables you to analyze the selected Subsystem only. No other objects will be analyzed. When you select this command, the analyzer starts. When the analysis is complete an output window is displayed which contains a list of the errors found.

Resolve

Including Subtree starts the Resolver for the selected Subsystem and its subtree.

Excluding Subtree starts the Resolver for the selected Subsystem only.

Output

Extract enables you to backup the selected object(s) from the current project library. These backup files can then be restored into a project library using the Load command.

Chart extracts only the chart of a Subsystem.

Text  extracts only the textual representation of a Subsystem.

Hierarchy extracts the chart and textual representation of a Subsystem and all the charts and textual representations of the objects below it in the hierarchy.

Plot  enables you to output one or more diagrams. It creates a separate print file for each diagram. Plot is only available for graphical objects. You can either set the Plot Options before you use this command or you can change the settings in the dialog box which appears when you choose Plot.

Report

Including Subtree enables you to report on the selected Subsystem and its subtree. This command opens a dialog box from which you can change the General Report Options. The content of the report is dependent on the settings of the Modular Design Report Options, which are also available from this dialog box.

Excluding Subtree enables you to report on the selected Subsystem(s). This command opens a dialog box from which you can change the General Report Options. The content of the report is dependent on the settings of the Modular Design Report Options, which are also available from this dialog box.

List Cross References opens an output window containing the cross reference lists for the selected Subsystem and the Symbols in the Subsystem.

Source Pilot

ProSource

Including Subtree starts ProSource for the selected Subsystem and its subtree.

Excluding Subtree starts ProSource for the selected Subsystem(s).

ComposeSource

Including Subtree starts ComposeSource for the selected Subsystem and its subtree.

Excluding Subtree starts ComposeSource for the selected Subsystem(s).

ReSource (on selected platforms)

File ReSource from File transforms source files into MD information, the original source is captured in Annotations. You can either transform one file or a whole directory structure. This command prompts you to enter the name of the file or directory that you want to ReSource.

Annotations

Including Subtree starts ReSource for the Annotations of the selected Subsystem and its subtree.

Excluding Subtree starts ReSource for the Annotations of the selected Subsystem(s).

Annotations  enables you to attach annotations to an object. The Annotation Selector is opened listing the Annotation types available for the object.
